Principal’s Message

I/C Principal

Dr. K. Sudhakar Reddy

Dear students,

Welcome to the Siddharth College of Law which was established by father of Indian Constitution and Bharat Rathna Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the year 1956.

The prime object of legal education is to produce professional lawyers. The term professional lawyer does not only cover the 'litigating, lawyer i.e. the lawyer who argues before the ordinary courts but all persons trained in law, whose employment is mainly dependent on their degrees in law.

The legal education should encourage the students of law to enrich their knowledge in economics, political science, sociology and if possible psychology. Knowledge of all allied social sciences is necessary to understand the whole complex of social structures, values, institutions and processes.

You are about to embark on the most intellectually challenging, and the most rewarding, educational experience of your life. The knowledge and skills you gain over the next three years in our College will form the foundation of your legal career. Law is a great profession, but it’s not an easy one.

As Abraham Lincoln said "If you are absolutely determined to make a lawyer of yourself, the thing is more than half done already. A Good law school teaches you to think like lawyers. But top law schools teach young people to think: just to think. And that makes a potentially great lawyer.

The Law School is not a place where everyone agrees with everyone else, nor a place wherea everyone talks to only like-minded peers or professors, Instead, the Law School is a place where conversations between people with different views often yield the most valuable insights and the closest friendships. Law colleges are able to provide legal aid to everyone because law students are best equipped with laws and its enforcement and considered to be social engineers of the society.

We want the students to be decent citizens who display leadership, critical thinking abilities and are aware of their social and ethical responsibilities.

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day. I advise the students not to go after the money and power rather try to be a good human beings.

I wish 'All the Best.
