The word law itself is such a powerful word that establishes and promotes justice in society and empowers individuals to be aware of his/her rights and duties towards society. Legal education is crucial in India, it allows citizens by equipping them with knowledge of their rights and legal system, which enables them to navigate legal issues. A literate citizen who is aware of his/her rights and duties is more powerful and is capable of reviewing the actions of the government which are against the democratic setup of the country. Legal education not only promotes the healthy functioning of democracy but also provides equality among the citizens of India, infusing an idea of the Rule of Law. The judiciary is considered one of the founding pillars of democracy which is free from external pressures. This enables justice to be served among various sections of the society.

Siddharth College of Law, a leading institution imparting excellent legal education in Mumbai, was established by the great visionary, Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, in 1956 to provide quality legal education to the backward sections of society. Our law college is committed to the overall growth and development of our students. We provide excellent education coupled with a passionate commitment to social justice and social service, all in a caring and supportive environment.

At a time when many are asking whether a legal education is a good choice for students seeking a rich and rewarding career, I say resoundingly that the answer is definitely "yes". A career in the legal profession can be intellectually challenging, personally fulfilling and financially rewarding. The complexities of our legal system have created hundreds of legal career options that serve a variety of core and non-core legal functions. From lawyers, judges, law teachers and mediators to paralegals, secretaries and consultants, the legal professional's role is expanding and evolving to keep pace with the ever-changing legal system. Developments in the law and technology are also creating new legal career opportunities.

We are blessed with an outstanding teaching faculty with commitment and professionalism. The first prerequisite for our faculty is outstanding teaching. Teaching is not a secondary concern at Siddharth Law College; it is the primary qualification for appointing teaching faculty. I believe a single conversation with a wise man is better than years of study.

As quoted by John Locke, "The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom."

The legal education in India is essential for producing good legal professionals and strives to uphold the rule of law, promote justice, protect rights and liberties, make citizens aware, improve access to justice, and contribute to social development. Therefore, our country should invest in quality legal education which is crucial for shaping the future of our country.

In pursuance of this vision of our great Founder Bharat Ratna Shri. Balasaheb Ambedkar, the Siddharth College of Law endeavors to prepare and produce world class Graduates who will strengthen the Rule of Law as envisioned in 'The Constitution of India.' Our aim is to give quality education & prepare students to establish high standard in legal practice. This College is dedicated to the mission of training minds who will uplift our constitutional values and rights.

In view of the growing demands of students in Mumbai, we have introduced the LLM (2 Years) in:
1. Business Law 2. Criminal Law & Criminal Administration and P.G. Diploma in Labour Law.
